John and Liz were very kind and helpful. Willowbeck is in a nice setting on a quiet pond, with a couple of beautiful willow trees in the yard. Over all it was a very nice stay.
No desk in the room.

John and Liz were very friendly, and upon arrival offered us a glass of wine. We went over to the Fantail restaurant and had an excellent meal. Breakfast the next morning was excellent- traditional English breakfast.

I greatly enjoyed the incredible and excellent breakfast. It was stunning, attractive and with baths available. The location was marvellous, so close to the lake at the front as well as the contemporary glass fronted restaurant.
Some of the staff were relaxed.

The lodge offers wonderful accommodation, especially for a family with one child. We loved our spacious room with a fine lake view. The breakfast was a highlight, served fresh and plentiful.
In my wife's opinion, a play area for children would be great.

This is an excellent up-market B&B, with those few extra creature comforts in a modern elegant building, set in quiet beautiful grounds. A very good breakfast, very welcoming, we would recommend it highly.
We only chose this B&B as they advertised special evening meals. After booking and our £50 non returnable deposit had been taken, were we then informed that they did not do evening meals on Sundays. On arrival they had very kindly booked us a restaurant a mile or so away, but we had taken a picnic as we did not wish to drive.
